Akari defeats Chery Tiggo to get back on winning track
Akari entered the winning column once again after beating Chery Tiggo in four sets, 22-25, 26-24, 25-20, on Tuesday, December 10, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.
In the opening set, the Chargers blew a 19-11 lead to give it away to the Crossovers, but they stayed resilient to win the next three frames.
Gretchel Soltones scored 22 points, to go along with nine excellent digs and seven excellent receptions to lead Akari to victory.
Fifi Sharma added 16 markers, which included six blocks, while Ivy Lacsina put up 15.
The Chargers now have a 3-3 record in the team standings after the win.
On the other hand, Princess Anne Robles and Ara Galang top-scored for Chery Tiggo with 14 points each.
Akari will be back in action after the holiday break. They will be facing the PLDT High Speed Hitters on January 18, 2025, at the Philsports Arena.
Meanwhile, Chery Tiggo will still have one more action on December 14 at the Philsports Arena against the Galeries Tower Highrisers which won their first game of the conference last Saturday in Cebu.
