Alyssa Bertolano played a key role in Farm Fresh’s four-set victory over sister team ZUS Coffee, 26-24, 13-25, 25-21, 25-19, in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, December 5.

Bertolano delivered a triple-double of 12 points, 12 excellent digs, and 12 excellent receptions, demonstrating her formidable floor defense and pushing the Foxies for back-to-back wins.

Despite the Foxies missing the services of Rachel Anne Daquis, Jolina Dela Cruz, and Lorene Toring, the team was able to tally an even 2-2 record courtesy of Bertolano's significant contribution.

“Maybe I will be consistent in passing since, for me, that’s where it really starts, in the passing. Because the strike, it’s just there. Then maybe I will work on my blocking and service,” the former University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons star said.

Eleven players from the Foxies finished at least a point in the match with Trisha Tubu delivering a game-high 28 points built on 27 attacks and one block.

Farm Fresh will attempt to end the year on a triumphant note as they face the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on December 12 at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Thea Gagate was still productive with 16 markers off 12 attacks, three blocks, and an ace. Jovelyn Gonzaga and Chinnie Arroyo scored 10 points each, while Cloanne Mondoñedo hurled 13 excellent sets in the losing effort.

ZUS Coffee will aim to find their way back in the win column against defending champions Creamline Cool Smashers on December 12 as well.
