Angge Alcantara displays efficient offense in PLDT’s victory

Angelica Alcantara orchestrated PLDT’s clean sweep against Farm Fresh, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19, in the 2025-24 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

The rookie setter exhibited her mettle and tossed 12 excellent sets and four points, including back-to-back 1–2 plays in the first set, to be named Player of the Game.

Alcantara was the mastermind behind the plays that propelled the High Speed Hitters to a 6-3 record, breaking into the top three of the team standings.

“We prepared well for this game, knowing Farm Fresh wouldn’t go down easily. We’re happy to have dominated,” said Alcantara, who highlighted the team's accountability, discipline, and attention as the main factors in their superb outing.

Savi Davison posted her third consecutive 20-plus performance for the High Speed Hitters, unloading a match-high 26 points, including the last four points that concluded the one-hour, 17-minute match.

Mika Reyes breached a twin-digit scoring this time, adding 10 markers in the winning cause. Erika Santos registered nine points while Majoy Baron and Fiola Ceballos tallied eight and six, respectively.

No Foxies registered in double-digit, with Trisha Tubu only managing to finish with nine points.

PLDT is now enjoying a much-needed rest prior to their crucial showdown against defending champion Creamline on February 15 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
