Chloe Isleta qualifies in World Aquatics Championships

Following her recent strong performances in the Puerto Rico International Swimming Open, Filipina tanker Chloe Isleta qualified for two short course events at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships which will take place in Budapest, Hungary slated December 10 to 15.

Following her recent strong performances in the Puerto Rico International Swimming Open, Filipina tanker Chloe Isleta qualified for two short course events at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships which will take place in Budapest, Hungary slated December 10 to 15.

The 2021 Vietnam SEA Games gold medalist first qualified for the women’s 100m individual medley with a QTB time of 1:01.59 seconds, followed by a mark of 59.80 seconds in the women’s 100m backstroke, allowing her to compete in two events in Budapest.

The 26-year-old Filipino-American swimmer also made headlines in the women’s 50m backstroke, when she finished second in 27.62 seconds behind South Africa’s Tayla Jonker, who recorded a time of 27.19 seconds.

Isleta will be back in the pool for the World Aquatics Swimming Cup — Stop 2, which will take place in Incheon, South Korea from October 24 to 27.
