EJ Laure joins Nxled after departing Chery Tiggo
EJ Laure found a new home with the Nxled Chameleons in the ongoing 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
The team has formally announced the acquisition of the power-hitting 27-year-old spiker, who previously played for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
"We’re so thrilled to have you on board and can’t wait to see you light up this fresh start!," the team posted on Facebook, welcoming Laure. "We’re rooting for you on your return to the PVL court, EJ!"
The oldest of the Laure sisters will contribute to Nxled a title-winning background, being a former Philippine Superliga (PSL) champion with Foton in the 2016 Grand Prix on top of a silver medal and two Top 3 finishes.
The former University of Santo Tomas standout has a difficult task of helping the youthful Chameleons turn things around after losing their first two games to PLDT and ZUS Coffee.
With Chiara Permentilla and Lycha Ebon bolstering a youthful scoring core, Laure may make her Nxled debut at the Philsports Arena on Tuesday, November 26, against Chery Tiggo, her old team, under the mentorship of Italian coach Ettore Guidetti.
