Petro Gazz got their fourth win in the PVL 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference to solidify their hold on second place in the team standings after defeating PLDT in four sets, 12-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-20, on Tuesday night, December 10, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

Brooke Van Sickle led the Angels to victory with her 21 points, built on 18 attacks, 2 blocks and one service ace.

“We just stayed together. We make things happen in every challenge that we face. We have a good turnaround. We just focused on our game. We know this team can be better, and we showed it today,” Van Sickle said.

“I thought everyone did a fantastic job all day round, everyone is firing, PLDT is always a fantastic team, so this is a fun match,” she added.

Myla Pablo supported Van Sickle with her 19 markers on 17 attacks and two rejections for the Angels.

Petro Gazz now had a 4-1 record in the conference, while the High Speed Hitters dropped to 3-2 and placed fourth as of the moment.

The Angels will have one more game before the holiday break and will face Cignal HD Spikers on Saturday, December 14 at the Philsports Arena, while PLDT will be back on January 18, 2025, against the Akari Chargers in a Saturday triple-header also at the Philsports Arena.
