Sisi Rondina powers Choco Mucho past Akari in All-Filipino
Sisi Rondina fuelled Choco Mucho in an outstanding all-around effort against the Akari Chargers, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 25-15, in the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the Philsports Arena on Saturday, February 8.
As usual, the former University of Santo Tomas star made her presence felt across the court, delivering on both ends of the floor to steer the Flying Titans’ fourth consecutive win.
Rondina fired 18 points and nine excellent digs to pace the Flying Titans to a 6-3 standing, sitting in joint third with sister teams PLDT and Cignal.
“We made a lot of mistakes in the game earlier, and I got mad at myself because I was the first to lose focus. But I’m grateful to my teammates for the trust they gave me,” Rondina said.
“It was a team effort, and everyone was eager to bounce back. We managed to bring out our best, and personally, I just gave myself the confidence to recover during the game,” she added.
Dindin Santiago-Manabat backstopped Rondina’s effort by contributing 12 markers. Deanna Wong was productive in her return from injury, tossing 11 outstanding sets, while libero Thang Ponce led the defense with nine excellent digs and nine excellent receptions.
Choco Mucho will gun for a fifth win against the Nxled Chameleons on Thursday, February 13, at the same venue.
