
PLDT to compete alongside Creamline and Petro Gazz in AVC League
The Philippines has secured a third spot in the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Champions League which is set to take place from April 20 to 27.
With this additional slot awarded by the AVC, the country will now have three teams competing in the inaugural edition of the competition.
As a result, PLDT will join the Creamline Cool Smashers and the Petro Gazz Angels in the continental tournament, which is set to take place at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
PLDT booked a ticket to the competition after finishing fourth in the ongoing 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference and securing a quarterfinal spot.
Additionally, Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima QminC and Vietnam’s VTV Bình Ðien Long An have confirmed their participation, with more teams expected to be announced soon.
